Hello! My name is Kayla and I am a born and raised Pennsylvanian. I have called the green, rolling hills of York County home for most of my life. My upbringing in this historic part of the country was a pleasant one and I was blessed with much love and opportunity. I am the youngest of 4 and grew up in a wonderful home with parents that sacrificed, provided and taught me much. As an outdoor enthusiast I have a BS degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism/Adventure Outdoor Programming and have spent time living in Utah and North Carolina. The year 2019 marked the beginning of Hope Voyage Ministries, a non-profit, that aims to share the true hope of Christ around the world. It officially gained 501c3 status in 2023. Beyond working as a business owner and a Client Relations Manager for a local property maintenance company I faithfully serve with my church family at Greater York Baptist Church.
I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a teacher, a lifelong student, a friend, a business owner, a musician, a photographer, a writer, a sailor, a missionary... and though I could probably name a few more, there's no other label I care more about than I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I have had the privilege to know and walk with the Lord for most of my life. I chose to accept the sacrifice of Christ's blood on the cross and entrusted my life to Him when I was a child. At a young age I understood the narrow way...the bridge of faith one must cross to dwell with the Almighty God. I am forever indebted to my Savior Jesus Christ as He willingly died for me. He bore my name and my sinful nature while He was beaten, mocked and crucified. This is a love unlike any other. I devote my life to Him and am eternally grateful.
I often like to share what the Lord so generously teaches me. His Word is powerful. He speaks in a number of ways that no public speaker, philosopher or artist could ever compare. He often speaks to me through His creation; my favorite way to see and learn of His character. He compels and drives to action, He reigns and brings justice, He gives purpose and place, He loves without comparison and He guides with mercy and grace.
The least I can do is write. Write of who He is and His divine working in my own life so that others may see and accept the free gift of salvation for themselves. This blog is here to serve that purpose. Join me...as we learn of and magnify the one true God together. I pray it be a blessing to you and honor my Heavenly Father.
